To say that Patty Barish has experience in the restaurant business is a bit of an understatement. Patty’s dad owned Gino’s Restaurant in Needham, Ma for 37 years and it’s where Patty got her start. She worked in every facet of the business from the kitchen to the dining room and learned everything she knows about cooking from her family.

She took that experience and, seeing an opportunity for serving the kind of Italian food she grew up with, decided to open her catering business and restaurant. Today, Patty B’s has grown tremendously. Her take on classic Italian dishes has won rave reviews up and down the seacoast.

Patty B’s menu is filled with a variety of authentic Italian cuisine including amazing subs, salads, appetizers and soups. She serves full plates of parmigiana, lasagna and other pastas (be ready to take home a doggy bag). And of course, Patty B’s serves what locals call the best bruschetta in all of Dover! Even the desserts are homemade and include cannoli, chocolate Bavarian cake and specialty cheesecakes.

Everything is made from scratch and many feature her signature marinara sauce which she makes with special tomatoes and a closely guarded recipe. If you are looking for something a bit more authentic than Olive Garden, we invite you to come to Patty B’s and see what real Italian food tastes like.

My Dream Come True

Ever since I can remember, I was surrounded by food. In fact, I often say I was raised in my parent’s (Guido and Bella Guarino) Italian American restaurant in Needham, Massachusetts. It’s where I learned my trade. 20 years ago, I moved to Dover, NH with my husband of 26 years, Bob Barish, and raised 3 beautiful children.

It was always my lifelong dream to have my own family restaurant. In December of 2011 that dream came true with the opening of Patty B’s in downtown Dover. After outgrowing the first location, we moved Patty B’s to its current location on Dover Point Road, where Bob and family friends pitched in to create our current space.

Everyday I count myself lucky to be surrounded by the best servers and chefs. And I am proud Patty B’s has been part of the Dover community for more than 4 years. We put hunks of love into all our recipes every day, and love to please our customers.

Buon Appetito!
